Rebuilding the Road King pt 1

This fine-looking frame is a 1950's Eaton's Road King, made in Hungary. For my height it is a bit small but I'm gonna build it up nonetheless. The rear spacing is 110mm, aka Keirin and old-school single-speed spacing. The original wheels were 26 x 1 3/8, possibly aka 650a, maybe not though and I'm trying to figure out whether to build this up on 650c, 700c, or 26". After measuring and reading what Sheldon Brown has to say I think 700c will fit so 700c it will be. Some nice Velocity rims I think with Phil Wood hubs. This could take a while. First I need to take this frame to Biseagal to get it prepped.

This is the original crankset and bottom bracket. Cottered no more! I bashed the hell out of it with a pedal axle, following Sheldon Brown's advice. I suggest you do the same if you are in a similar predicament.

DUDE! ... when did you get that frame! That is GORGEOUS! p.s. Next time you are buying parts for it, get a crank nut for the rusty corpse sitting in my entrance way. It's like my apartment is turning into Haye's cyclo-corpse storage depot! ... p.s. I want to see that road king riding!
